Child Passenger Safety Checks

Freeport Fire-EMS offers car seat safety checks and installation assistance by a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST).

Motor vehicle crashes remain a leading cause of injury for children. Proper installation of car seats significantly reduces the risk of serious injury.

During an appointment we will:

• Check your car seat installation
• Ensure the seat is appropriate for your child's age and size
• Provide guidance on correct installation and use
• Answer questions about child passenger safety
